In Ayurveda, endocrine disorders are often referred to as "Vriddhi Roga" or "Granthi Roga." It includes conditions like diabetes, thyroid imbalances and also hormonal disturbances. This is caused by disruptions in the body’s doshas, such as vata, Pitta, Kapha, and “dhatus” (Tissues).
This combinedly affects our Digestive Agni (Fire) and “Prana” which is the flow of energy in the human body.
Dosha Imbalance:
Vata Dosha: Movement in the human body and communication is generally affected by the Vata Dosha. And its disproportion can induce nervous system disorders and hormonal irregularities.Pitta Dosha: Pitta Dosha affects your metabolism and digestion. Pitta imbalances can contribute to conditions like hyperthyroidism and adrenal disorders.
Kapha Dosha: Kapha dosha provides you with stability and structure. Imbalances can lead to weight gain, insulin resistance and hormonal imbalances too.
Ama (Toxins): When Ama means toxins multiply in the body due to poor digestion, In the long run, it can clog the channels we called it as (Srotas). And it can disrupt the flow of hormones and nutrients.
Detoxification Process:
There is a process of panchakarma in Ayurveda that helps to detox your body.
Panchakarma:
Detox therapies like Virechana (Purgation) and Basti (Medicated Enema) work very effectively to eliminate toxins and restore their balance.
Addressing the root causes and promoting the overall balance of your body is a holistic approach to managing endocrine disorders. Ayurveda supports the body’s natural healing processes and restores harmony to the hormonal system.
